There was no holiday slump for the two broadcast network Summer shows on Monday (Labor Day) night as both NBC's Siberia and CBS' Under the Dome improved their numbers from the past weeks with their most recent episodes. Siberia posted a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.9 million total viewers (based on the preliminaries, the finals have not come in yet). That's up from the 0.6 rating it had the last two weeks, but not up enough to avoid the show's assumed cancellation at this point. Under the Dome edged up to a 2.6 rating with 10.7 million total viewers. That show has already been renewed and counts as a major hit for the Summer months. Both shows have two episodes left and will wrap up just before the Fall season kicks off.
On Friday, Continuum finished up its second season run on Syfy with a slight improvement to its numbers. The show posted a 0.4 rating in the 18-49 demo with 1.4 million total viewers, up from the 0.3 it had the prior week. The third season of this Canadian import will air on Syfy at some point in 2014. Last Wednesday, Futurama enjoyed a boost to its ratings as it climbed to a 0.8 score with 1.4 million total viewers, a notable improvement on the 0.5 it slipped to the prior week. That show airs its series finale next Wednesday night.
